Legless
A downloadable game for Windows
This is a 2D top-down survival horror game developed in 10 weeks by a five-member team from Abertay University’s Professional Masters in Games Development (MProf).
Players control a legless protagonist, injured by a terrifying Butcher and trapped inside his domain. With no ability to run, the player must crawl through dark environments, using stealth, sound awareness, and limited resources to survive.
The goal is to escape the Butcher’s place without being detected. Noise attracts the enemy, and mistakes can be fatal. Players must explore carefully and use inventory items such as keys, healing supplies, and tools to progress.
The game focuses on atmosphere, tension, and vulnerability, creating constant fear and pressure throughout the experience.

Thank you very much for sharing such detailed and thoughtful feedback. We really appreciate your kind words about the game’s premise and overall experience. Your point about the enemy behavior and how noise affects tension is very insightful and valuable for future improvements. We are glad you still found the experience unique and enjoyable, and we really enjoyed watching your gameplay video. Thank you again for taking the time to play and recommend the game.
A really well-designed game. At first, I felt like I was in the bathroom in Saw. A truly original idea for a horror video game. The dynamics are truly original and well structured, and the perks are intuitive but very useful for advancing. The slow pace creates a feeling of helplessness and weakness that increases anxiety and gives the game just the right atmosphere. The game gets full marks from me, congratulations!
If you want, pop over to my page and try out the horror game I've been working on for many years.
By friend.
Thank you so much for the kind words and for playing the game! We are really glad you enjoyed the atmosphere, pacing, and originality of the mechanics — that feedback means a lot to me. I appreciate the invitation as well, and we will be happy to check out your horror game. Thanks again, and best of luck with your project!
the entire time i felt on the edge of my seat!! the environment was so intricately designed and i quickly became obsessed over all the details. I really adored the game mechanics, all the controls felt really easy to understand. The sound effects were also perfect :) altogether i really enjoyed my experience, no critique from me! :)
Thank you so much for playing and for the kind words! We are really happy you enjoyed the atmosphere, mechanics, controls, and sound design. Your feedback truly means a lot — thanks again for taking the time to play!
I enjoyed the atmosphere, the stealth mechanics, and the controls a lot! My biggest complaint was that I got lost fairly easily and did not know if I was exploring new rooms or if I'd already been places, unless I was in a room with a very unique look, like the room with the meatgrinder in it. Also, it didn't occur naturally to me that the matches were supposed to be used as torches to see a wider area until I had been playing for a while, I thought they'd be used in a specific spot like the keys are. Again though, you really nailed the look & feel of the game, A+ from me on that front.
My first 10 minutes playing.
Thank you so much for the detailed feedback and for playing the game - we also watched your gameplay, which was really helpful. Thanks again for taking the time to play and share your experience!
Hello,
my name is NoSweet_GER and I am just starting out with a very small Twitch/YouTube channel. I don’t want to request free keys or any special benefits — I would simply like to ask for confirmation that I’m allowed to stream and upload gameplay of your game, as well as share short clips (e.g. highlights) on platforms like TikTok or Instagram.
It would also be important for me to know whether the in-game music and sound effects are safe to use in monetized videos, without the risk of copyright claims or strikes on YouTube/Twitch.
Thank you very much for your time — even as a small creator, I want to make sure I handle everything correctly.
Best regards, NoSweet_GER
Thank you for reaching out and for your interest in the game.
You are absolutely allowed to stream and upload gameplay of the game, including sharing clips on platforms like Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
There are no issues with using the in-game music or sound effects in monetized videos. All audio assets were created by Team Arran, so you won’t face any copyright claims or strikes.
If possible, I’d really appreciate it if you could share the game page in your posts:

Thank you for your support, and best of luck with your channel!
Best regards, Team Arran
You can also share your gameplay stream and short link here — Team Arran would love to see it!
The game is cool, very unusual, the crawling mechanics are well done, but it's a bit stuffy.
Thanks a lot for playing and sharing your thoughts! I really appreciate the feedback.
Good job
Thank you! We really appreciate your time and effort.
